I am excited to post my first blog entry, though I am laughing at the time of it all- eight days before Christmas and in the midst of Christmas chaos. I still have gifts to buy, packages to send, cards to write and as I jot these words of joy, my husband and son, Mitchell are dipping the peanut butter bonbons and raspberry truffles...they'd never believe I was sitting and blogging...but I am.
Christmas magic is something that I've always felt was part of the gift that we give to our children and friends. I still feel that way and the house is decorated and looking homey. I just want the days of "hurry, hurry, get it done" gone and to sit by the fire and have the magic just be. It will be a few days before that happens- we have a Christmas party here on Friday night- and after getting the packages out in the mail tomorrow, I'll have to clean and ready the house, plus make "goodies" for Friday's party.
But Saturday, ah Saturday. I believe the worst will be over and Toby should be home mid-day from KU and the holidays will begin in earnest...I have such picture perfect holiday moments in my head right now...we shall see.
